Qwoted is working hard to ensure a more beneficial and valuable experience for all of its users. Media members from top publications are adopting Qwoted as a go-to resource because we've taken a more thoughtful approach to the pitching and expert sourcing processes. With that said, some media users have complained about the number of emails they receive and have asked for help reducing clutter in their inboxes. They prefer to have all of their pitches in one place as it's much easier to manage and correspond. As a result, it is against our Community Guidelines to pitch Qwoted opportunities outside of the platform.
Unfortunately, some of our users continue to email their pitches rather than submit them in Qwoted. If a user continuously unlocks media opportunities without submitting, the system flags the offending account and temporarily disables it to ensure the user is not spamming.
We understand there are occasions when you may unlock and choose not to go through with submitting a pitching. This could result in your account being temporarily disabled, but we've taken this point into account when developing this piece of technology, and your account will only be disabled if the behavior is recurring.
Don't forget, there are a number of benefits to pitching in Qwoted:
You receive a 'read receipt' as soon as the Media User reads your pitch.
All of your previous pitches are saved so that you can quickly use a prior pitch template for future opportunities.
We provide pitch intelligence so you know where you stand in the process: how many times the opportunity has already been pitched, how many pitches have been read by the Media User, how many pitches have been responded to, etc.
We strive to make this network a valuable resource for all participants and we appreciate your help by adhering to our community guidelines and processes.
