Why build a Product Profile?
On Qwoted, most people start with an Expert Profile, which is great when you want to position yourself or a client as a go-to source for journalist questions. But sometimes, the story isn't about the person behind a brand. It's about what they sell.
If you represent a product that reporters would genuinely want to feature in a roundup, gift guide, review article, or trend piece, a Product Profile is the right tool for the job. It puts your product directly in front of media who are actively searching for recommendations, not just expert commentary.
Think of it this way: an Expert Profile says "here's who I am and what I know." A Product Profile says "here's what we make and why it belongs in your story."
Whether you're a PR pro managing a portfolio of client brands or a small business owner wearing every hat at once, a Product Profile gives your product its own presence on Qwoted, so it can be discovered, pitched, and featured on its own merits.
Create a Product Profile
Qwoted has a Product Directory, allowing the media users to easily find products for their roundups, gift guides, articles, etc.
In order for you to pitch your product, you must create a Product Profile.

In addition, there are two others ways to create a new product page on Qwoted. Please note these options are only available to PR style accounts and not self representing experts. Please click the button above if you are a self representing expert.
Add a new Product when pitching a Product Request
There is now a new set of buttons in the pitch widget, which allows you to add a new expert or product when pitching a Product Request.
Click the Product button and fill in the basic details, then click Add Product.
You can also choose from other products that have been previously pitched or added to your profile by searching and choosing from the drop down..
Add products from your Dashboard/Profile
*Note: If you do not see this button in your dashboard/profile, click here to create your product profile. The button below should be visible to you after creating.
By hovering over the purple Add A Source button on your Dashboard or Profile page, you will see the option to add either an Expert or a Product to Qwoted.
Click "Add a Product". From there, you’ll be brought to a form where you can enter the Name, Description, URLs, pricing, categories, tags and any other information relevant to your product.
The more detailed you are, the better a reporter can find your listing hosted in our network of Products.
For PR / marketing teams collaborating on a Product, you'll have the ability to add representatives from within your company/team to manage the Product Profile, the same way you would an Expert profile on Qwoted.
Media users can query the wider network to find products they're interested in based on their search criteria. Keep your product’s information comprehensive and up-to-date in order to surface higher in Media search results.
