Why can't I get convicted driver cover?

A lot of details go into determining whether an insurer can give you a price or not.

Reasons we may not accept your quote details:

1. The product isn’t designed for you

Our convicted driver insurance covers anyone over the age of 25 who has points or past driving convictions.

2. You haven’t declared everything correctly

If you’ve missed off a claim or licence points – accidentally or not – insurers have access to industry data like the central claims database, which they check when you apply for insurance. Leaving out this kind of information doesn’t mean an insurer won’t know about it.

3. No insurer can cover everyone

Everyone gets assessed on their unique personal details, and sometimes the combination of those details doesn’t fit our rules. That’s why an insurer might give you a great price – but not cover your friend at all.

All insurers look for slightly different combinations of personal details, which they prefer to insure.
