Why can’t I get a quote?

A lot of details go into determining whether an insurer can give you a price or not.

Reasons we may not accept your quote details:

1. The product you're looking at isn’t designed for you

If key details like your age, occupation or vehicle value are outside of what we cover for the type of insurance you're applying for, we won't provide a quote. For example: our new driver insurance only covers drivers with fewer than eight years on the road.

2. You haven’t declared everything correctly

If you’ve missed off a claim or licence points – accidentally or not – an insurer has access to industry data like the central claims database, which they check when you apply for insurance. Leaving out this kind of information doesn’t mean an insurer won’t know about it.

3. No insurer can cover everyone

Everyone gets assessed on their unique personal details, and sometimes the combination of those details doesn’t fit the insurer’s rules. That’s why we might give you a great price – but not cover your friend at all.

All insurers look for slightly different combinations of personal details, which they prefer to insure.
