The Inbox is the central hub for managing all one-on-one communication with contacts via text / SMS. It allows users to easily view the full texting history with each recipient, making it simple to pick up conversations where they left off. Messages are organized by contact rather than individual phone numbers, so users can quickly find and respond to individual replies without losing context.
To access the SMS inbox, click Texting in the left-hand menu—this will open the inbox by default. Alternatively, you can hover your cursor over Texting and select Inbox from the dropdown. This brings you directly to your one-on-one message threads, where you can view and manage ongoing conversations.
Inbox overview
The Inbox shows all texting history and allows users to search records or filter them by campaign. The Manage Campaigns and Create Campaign buttons are conveniently placed at the top right. To narrow down text messages, click the filter button or anywhere in the Filter by campaign field. This allows you to narrow down results based on a specific campaign. You can also search by contact name in the search field. You can further narrow down results by enabling the Only show threads with new replies slider.
The search results show the messaging history as well as other important details, including Caller IDs (to and from) and a link to view the recipient's profile.
Replying to an SMS
To reply to a message, simply type a message in the New message field and click the blue Send button. Users have the option of choosing from existing templates or merge fields into the SMS. If you have multiple Caller IDs configured in the system, select the desired number from the list before sending a text.
