No. Deleting a contact is permanent. There is no undo button, no trash folder, and no self-serve restore.
What happens when a contact is deleted
Deletion removes the contact record and all data attached to it in one irreversible operation. This includes:
Phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses
Donations, pledges, and interactions
Tags, notes, and custom fields
SMS and email history
List memberships
Once confirmed, none of this can be recovered from within the app.
If you need to recover a deleted contact
Contact support. We may be able to restore data from a recent backup, but this is not guaranteed and depends on how recently the deletion occurred. Reach out as soon as possible after the mistake.
Alternatively, if you originally imported the contact from a CSV or another source, you can re-import them. Donation and interaction history would need to be re-entered manually.
Preventing accidental deletion
Before deleting a contact, consider whether merging with a duplicate or simply updating the record would accomplish what you need. Deletion is the right choice only when the record itself should not exist.
