Is Rally GDPR Compliant?
Updated over a week ago

While Rally.Fan doesn’t have a specific GDPR compliance feature, we offer several options to help ensure your Rally.Fan store is GDPR compliant.

Here’s how you can use our tools to meet GDPR requirements:

Collecting Consent

  1. Using Forms:

    • Create a custom form using our 'Collect Emails & Applications' feature.

    • Add a required checkbox field to the form, making it necessary for users to acknowledge and consent to your GDPR terms before submitting their information. This ensures that customers are aware of and agree to your data collection policies.

  2. Including GDPR Terms:

    • You can include your GDPR terms in the 'Terms & Conditions' section of your Rally.Fan store. This ensures that your policies are easily accessible to users.

Email Marketing Compliance

  1. Email Verification Flow:

    • If you use our Flow feature for email marketing, set up a flow that sends an email to new subscribers, confirming their subscription. This email should include information about how they can unsubscribe from your mailing list, complying with GDPR’s requirements for consent and easy opt-out options.

  2. Providing Clear Opt-Out Options:

    • Ensure that every marketing email includes a clear and easy way for users to unsubscribe. This helps maintain compliance by allowing users to withdraw their consent at any time.

Practical Implementation

Here are the steps to implement these GDPR-compliant practices:

  1. Setting Up the Consent Checkbox:

    • Navigate to the 'Forms' section in your Rally.Fan dashboard.

    • Create or edit a form and add a checkbox field labeled something like “I agree to the terms and conditions and GDPR policy.”

    • Set this field as 'Required' to ensure that users must check it before submitting the form.

  2. Including GDPR Terms in Terms & Conditions:

    • Go to the 'Settings' section of your Rally.Fan store.

    • Find the 'Terms & Conditions' area and add your GDPR compliance text there.

    • Make sure this section is prominently displayed and easy to find for your users.

  3. Flow Setup:

    • In the 'Flow' section, create a new flow for new subscribers.

    • Design the email to include a confirmation of subscription and clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from your emails if they choose to.
