Prerequisites

Before attempting to share your accounts using QuickSync, please ensure the following:

Locating your Tenant ID

  • Your Tenant ID can be found in your Dynamics 365 Business Central Online dashboard. First, navigate to businesscentral.dynamics.com and sign into your account.

  • Click the question mark (?) on the right side of the banner. This will open the Help sidebar menu.

  • Then click Help & Support under the Other Resources tab.

  • The Help & Support pop-up will be displayed, and you can find the Tenant ID near the bottom left of the window. It will be labeled as an Azure AD tenant.

If this is your first time connecting your Microsoft account, you will receive the following pop-up, asking for your Tenant ID.

Copy and paste the Tenant ID from before into the field then click Confirm.

The Tenant ID will be saved for future shares. It can be seen at the bottom of the list of accounting packages. You can edit or delete it when necessary.

After entering the Tenant ID, you will be prompted to sign in to your Dynamics 365 account and grant permissions to the application.

Please read the terms outlined and once ready, click Accept. Once you have accepted you will have the option to select the company you wish to upload your data from. Click on Submit and the share will now begin.

(If you do not have the required Cloud Application Administrator role listed in the prerequisites at the beginning of this guide, you cannot proceed past this step).

Your shared data is now being processed, and you can switch off your desktop and disconnect from the network at this point if you wish. You can view the progress of your QuickSync connection in the FHR Exchange, and the page will auto-refresh.
