Utilizing discount code activations is a great way to offer value to your members while simultaneously driving purchases through your online store. By sharing exclusive discount codes, you not only encourage members to make purchases but also enhance their loyalty by providing a tangible benefit.
Follow the steps below to create your discount code activation.
Exit the flow at any time by clicking the ellipsis and Cancel. Make sure you save your work.
Step 1: Enter discount information
You will be prompted to enter reward details including:
Reward name
Reward description
Upload a featured image
Step 2: Add a promo code
Enter a new or existing promo code of your choosing.
Note that if you are creating a new promo code, you will need to add this code into the backend of your third-party e-commerce software provider.
If you connected your account to Shopify, promo codes will automatically be pushed to your Shopify storefront. Learn more about our Shopify integration.
Step 3: Specify a reward period (optional)
Now that you’ve configured your promo code, you can add additional parameters to limit the codes availability.
Parameters include:
Add a total supply (how many users can claim the benefit)
Add a start date (when can users begin claiming the benefit)
Add an end date (when does the reward expire)
Note that these parameters cannot be edited once published.
Step 4: Add a success message
Once you’ve configured your reward period, the next step is to add a success message. This message will appear automatically once a user claims the reward.
Add a call to action (optional) to redirect users to a desired webpage.
Step 5: Access and engagement preferences
The final step is to configure access and engagement preferences.
Comments allow members to comment on the reward page itself. By default, comments are enabled. To disable comments, toggle comments off. Preview how comments appear on desktop below.
Notifications generate a notification email that is automatically sent to your members inbox. To disable notifications, toggle notifications off.
Click Publish
That's it! If you are not yet ready to share the reward, you can save it as a draft and come back to it later.
To save a reward as a draft, simply click Save as draft instead of Publish.
If you do not save your reward as a draft and navigate away from the page, all progress will be lost.
View and Share your Rewards
Members will automatically receive an email with the new reward. Preview your reward by clicking "View." If you would like to share the reward with new users, you can copy the URL by clicking "Share."
View Recipients
To view a list of members who have claimed access to your discount simply visit the reward in your admin dashboard, click on the ellipsis (...) in the right hand corner and select "View recipients."
