Stripe Account Verification for New Rechargly Users

When you connect Stripe to Rechargly, Stripe will require identity verification for your business before you can accept BECS or BACS as a payment method. This guide explains how to complete the verification process.

Why verification is required

Stripe requires businesses to verify their identity to comply with financial regulations. Until verification is complete, you may not be able to accept certain payment methods (like BECS Direct Debit) or receive payouts.

How to request BECS/BACS access

Follow the instructions from this guide to request to enable BECS/BACS as a payment method. Once you've done this, you will be requested to verify your identity.

How to check your verification status

  1. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard

  2. Make sure you are in the correct Stripe account (the one connected to Rechargly)

  3. Go to Settings > Account details or visit your account status page directly

  4. You'll see any outstanding requirements listed there
