IMPORTANT: Device integration within the Core platform is payment processor specific. To ensure compatibility, EMV devices should only be purchased through Daxko. Please reach out to your account manager or the Daxko Core support team for more information.
REGISTERING THE DEVICE
Power on the device and wait for it to boot up.
It’s recommended to connect the device to the power cable during the setup process. If you prefer to use battery power, ensure that the device is fully charged before initiating the setup.
Once the boot-up is complete, enter 0001 into the keypad to load the Administrative Menu.
Select the menu option for Wi-Fi Parameters.
Select your local Wi-Fi network and enter the network password to connect the device to the internet.
Once the device is connected to the internet, it will display a screen with the device serial number and a registration code (it may be necessary to power cycle the device after the Wi-Fi connection is made before the registration screen displays).
Log in to Core, then navigate to Finances > Payment Gateways.
Click on the orange text that says Credit Card.
Click + Register New Device.
Enter the 6-character Registration Code currently being displayed on the unregistered device and the preferred device Nickname you would like to refer to the device by (e.g., FD1 or FrontDesk1, etc.).
Note: The name entered at this step will be displayed on the device screen and will need to be entered by staff to send a transaction to the device. Then click Register Device.
If the device is registered successfully, the screen will stop displaying the registration code and begin displaying the name you submitted instead.
Select orange Register Device button to complete registration process.
Once a device has been successfully registered, you can initiate transactions to it from any page in Core where you can use a new credit card.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Spaces cannot be used in either the field.
The registration code on the device display screen will change after a short period of time so make sure what is entered in the field matches what is on the screen before you complete this step.
