There is now an advanced program setting that forces the selection of an authorized pickup during program check-out. When enabled, the Member/Parent With Signature check-out workflow becomes the only available member-facing check-out workflow.
When an authorized pickup puts in their information or the participant's, they have the ability to self identify (Who is signing?) and then sign.
There are warnings in place for the following scenarios:
Someone attempts to sign without selecting an authorized pickup
There are no authorized pickups assigned to the participant
Member is on the unit but not assigned as an authorized pickup
When staff are using the staff-facing program check-out workflow, they will have the ability to insert a reason for bypassing the authorized pickup selection if there is not one available. This could be for cases where staff are checking out multiple participants at a time or needing to record checkouts after the fact.
The bypass reason will show in the Notes section on the Program Check-ins report.
Note: Only members/non-members that are associated as authorized pickups for a program participant will show as options during participant check-out. Adults on the unit will not be automatically recognized.
