Setting up energy reporting for your SRECs

To mint SRECs for your system, we need to see how much energy it produces each month. How you share that access depends on the type of inverter you have.

The easiest way to set it up is to log in to your RECmint account and follow the prompts — they'll guide you to the right method for your system. If the default method doesn't work, there are usually other options to try.

If your inverter type isn't listed in our dropdown menu

We work with all major inverters — and most others — and will set up automated reporting whenever possible. If your inverter isn't in our dropdown, let us know, and we can help. We'll need a couple of details:

  • Your state and Revenue Grade Meter (RGM) requirements. If you're in VA, MD, DC, or NJ, your inverter must include a Revenue Grade Meter (RGM) — a production meter certified to a national accuracy standard (ANSI C12.20). Without an RGM in those states, your system isn't eligible to mint SRECs there. There are two routes. You can add a separate revenue grade meter alongside your existing inverter. Or we may be able to register the system through Pennsylvania's out-of-state program instead. What you're paid differs between markets, so if your system is eligible for the DC market, adding a meter is usually the better deal. Let us know and we'll tell you which applies. To check: look at your inverter or meter's datasheet/spec sheet — if it lists C12.20 or Revenue Grade Meter, it qualifies. (Spec sheets can usually be found by Googling the meter manufacturer and model.)

  • Your monitoring platform. Which site or app do you use to view your system's production? Please send the web URL or the app name.

If your inverter was replaced

If your inverter was replaced, please let us know — it can affect our access to your energy reporting. Tell us the make of the new inverter (SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, etc.) and when it was replaced. We may then have a few follow-up questions, or need to update your account and have you re-share access.
