Anyone can apply for a Verification Badge on TikTok at no cost. However, approval is not guaranteed, as each application is carefully reviewed based on specific eligibility criteria.
To qualify for verification, your profile must meet the following standards:
Authentic – Represents a real person, brand, or entity
Unique – Only one account per person or brand is typically verified
Complete – Includes a profile photo, bio, and is consistently active
Notable – Represents a well-known or frequently searched-for figure, business, or brand
You can apply for verification directly via the TikTok app or learn more and access the application process here.
Keep in mind that TikTok does not consider follower count or number of likes when reviewing verification requests. As long as you meet the criteria above, you have a better chance of being approved.
If your profile doesn’t qualify for a verified badge, there are still other ways to show authenticity. For example, by linking your TikTok account from an official website or other verified platforms.
Note: TikTok verification is not exclusive to artists, and receiving a verification badge does not automatically create an Artist Account. These are two separate features with different purposes and application processes.
