ℹ️ New workspace experience
This article covers subscription management for our new experience, which we're gradually rolling out. Still on the old experience? Find info about subscription renewals here.
Record Union accepts any Mastercard, Visa and American Express debit and credit card for paying your annual subscriptions. All subscriptions renew automatically, unless you cancel them in advance.
On the Core plan, each release has its own individual subscription and annual renewal date. On the Pro plan, all releases and add-ons within your workspace are gathered under one workspace subscription. You can in turn create multiple workspaces with their own subscriptions.
Managing subscriptions
No matter the plan you're on, you can view your subscription under Workspace settings > Subscription & billing. You'll find workspace settings in the sidebar menu to the left. Here you can manage or upgrade your subscription, add billing information, and update your payment method.
What do I need to do to renew my subscriptions?
Since your subscriptions renew automatically each year, just make sure your payment method is still active and has enough funds for your subscription amount, and you're good to go!
Will I get a receipt for my payments?
No matter the plan you are on, all subscriptions and payments are linked to a workspace. The workspace owner will receive all receipts and invoices at the email address associated with their user account.
You can also find details and download receipts for your payments under Workspace settings > Subscription & billing.
How can I change the card used for my payments?
Since subscriptions are linked to a workspace, you can use a different payment card for each workspace when paying for your subscriptions.
To add or update the payment method for a workspace, go to Workspace settings > Subscription & billing.
How will I know if my renewal payment failed?
If your automatic subscription renewal fails, it’s most likely due to insufficient funds, an expired card, or another issue with your chosen payment method. If a payment fails, the workspace owner will receive an email notification.
On the Core plan, you pay per release. Each release has its own subscription and renewal date. If a release renewal payment fails, a 30-day grace period will begin, giving you time to resolve the payment issue. If we don’t receive the payment within this period, the release will be taken down from all music stores, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
On the Pro plan, you pay per workspace. Each workspace has one annual subscription that covers all releases and add-ons in it. If a workspace renewal payment fails, a 30-day grace period will begin, giving you time to resolve the payment issue. If we don’t receive the payment within this period, all releases within the workspace will be taken down from all music stores, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel your release or workspace subscription, the affected music will stay live on music stores until the next renewal date. On that day, all affected releases will be taken down from all music stores, subject to our Terms & Conditions. You can learn more about subscriptions here.
For canceled subscriptions, the workspace owner will receive a reminder email before the renewal date about the upcoming takedown. You can easily keep track of and manage your subscriptions and payments from Workspace settings > Subscription & billing.
