The “Estimated time till empty” displayed on your camera profile assumes the most power-intensive use: recording and streaming. This gives you a conservative estimate to help ensure your camera doesn’t shut down mid-game.
⚡ Battery Drain Rates by Mode
Battery usage depends on how the camera is being used:
Standby: ~5% per hour
Recording only: ~10% per hour
Recording + Streaming: ~12% per hour (used for all battery time estimates)
We display the battery percentage at all times, and calculate remaining time based on the highest-drain mode to help you plan ahead safely.
🔔 Battery Warnings
To help you avoid disruptions while recording:
You’ll get a 90-minute warning when battery is at ~20%
You’ll get a 45-minute warning when battery is at ~10%
These alerts are only shown during recording or recording + streaming, when you can’t plug in without stopping.
🔋 Estimated Time Till Full
When your camera is plugged in, you’ll see:
Estimated time till full: how long it will take to fully charge the battery from its current level
This time is an estimate and may vary slightly depending on current camera activity and power source.
💡 Battery-Saving Tip
To extend battery life, especially on long game days:
Go to the Camera Profile
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner
Toggle the LEDs “off”
Turning off the camera’s LED indicators can reduce drain in both standby and active modes.
