Camera mode and capture settings

Camera mode and capture settings help camera admins control how a camera records games.

These settings are available in Mobile version 3.3.4 with Camera version 3.2.6. Older versions are no longer supported.

What’s the difference between camera mode and capture settings?

  • Camera mode tells the camera which sport it is recording, so the AI can use the right sport-specific tracking behavior.

  • Capture settings control how the recording looks, including zoom behavior and brightness.

Where to find these settings

Camera admins can view and update the currently active camera mode and capture settings in any of these places:

  • Camera profile

  • Start game sheet

  • Camera control modal

The same active settings are shown in all three places. It does not matter where a setting is changed. The change applies to the camera and stays in effect until it is changed again.

When these settings can be changed

  • Camera mode can be set before starting a game

  • Capture settings can be adjusted before or during a game

If capture settings are changed during a live stream, the change applies immediately on the camera. The stream may take up to 60 seconds to reflect the update because of stream delay.

Camera modes

Choose the camera mode that matches the sport being recorded.

  • Soccer – Optimizes AI tracking for soccer

  • Basketball – Optimizes AI tracking for basketball

  • Flag football – Optimizes AI tracking for flag football

  • Static – Disables tracking and keeps a fixed view

Capture settings

Tracking mode

Tracking mode controls how zoomed in the camera appears, or whether it stays fixed on one side.

  • Standard – Medium zoom

  • Wide – No zoom

  • Immersive – High zoom

  • Fixed left – Shows only the left half

  • Fixed right – Shows only the right half

Brightness

Brightness controls how bright the image appears.

Available options include:

  • Much brighter (+2)

  • Slightly brighter (+1)

  • Normal (0)

  • Slightly darker (-1)

  • Much darker (-2)

Defaults

Capture settings are persistent per camera. This means the selected settings stay in place until you or another camera admin changes them.

Default options are marked directly in the app UI. You can reset the capture settings at any time using the reset button.
