This article is about phone streaming and how it fits with the Reeplayer Camera. For camera help, see Which sports does Reeplayer support?.
Quick answers
Does anything change for my camera? No. It works exactly as before. You just picked up a sidekick.
Where did my old camera games go? They're still there, now called events.
Do I need the ID check? Not for your camera. If you go live from your phone, there's a quick, one-time ID check before your first phone stream.
Does my phone track the ball like the camera? Not yet. It's in the works. See Phone streaming: Does the AI follow the play on my phone?
Can my phone be a backup if the camera fails mid-game? Yes, if you have a phone mount and you're on a court or small field. On a full-size 11v11 field, a phone can't capture the whole game. The phone also can't pick up where the camera left off; it starts its own separate stream.
Can I use both at the same time? See Can I use my phone and my Reeplayer camera together?
Your Reeplayer Camera is still the big gun for full-size fields. See Phone streaming: What sports can I record from my phone? for which fields work best from a phone.
Why the camera still earns its spot
Your phone stays yours. No tying it up on a tripod for an hour. Take photos, answer texts, cheer.
Built for game day outside. The camera handles heat, cold and rain, so there's no babysitting a hot phone in the sun. Streaming from your phone on a long sunny day? Bring shade and a power bank.
Made for the whole club. One camera covers many teams and players, season after season.
AI and big fields. It follows the play and covers full-size fields on its own.
If you're the camera's owner, Pro is already included, so you get the Pro extras (like rewatching) on your phone events too. Camera admins and team members get Pro the same way everyone else does.
