Managing your lists with folders: creating, editing, and deleting list folders

In this article, we'll guide you through the process of managing list folders in your REISift account. You'll learn how to create new list folders, move existing lists into these folders, and deleting folders when necessary. Organizing your lists into folders can help you stay efficient and keep your data well-structured.

List folders can be created, edited, or deleted by clicking on Lists from the left side bar of your account.

Creating List Folders

If you haven't created any custom folders yet, you will see the default folder where all your lists are located. To create a new folder, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Create Folder located towards the top-right of your account.

  2. Enter a name for the new folder. You can choose any name that best represents the contents of the folder, such as by the qualifying data, pain points, property type, etc.

  3. Click Create Folder to save the new folder.

Creating Lists in a Folder

Once you have created a new folder, you can add lists to it. Here's how:

  1. Open the newly created folder by clicking on it.

  2. Select Create New List to add a new list directly to this folder.

Moving Existing Lists to a Folder

If you have lists that are currently in the default folder and you want to organize them into your newly created folder or any other folder, follow these steps:

  1. Open the folder where the list is currently located (most likely the default folder).

  2. Hover over the list you want to move, and click on the three dots icon that appears.

  3. Select Move to Folder.

  4. Choose the destination folder where you want to move the list.

Renaming or Deleting a Folder

To keep your list folders updated and tidy, you might occasionally need to rename or delete them. Here's how to do it:

Renaming

  1. Locate the folder you wish to rename.

  2. Hover over the folder name, and click on the three dots icon that appears.

  3. Click on Rename Folder and enter the new name.

Deleting

  1. To delete the folder, click on Delete Folder. Please note that deleting a folder will not delete the lists within it; they will be moved to the default folder.

  2. If you choose to delete the folder, confirm your decision by typing or copying and pasting Delete Folder and then selecting Yes, delete it.
