Add crew members and office staff to your company in RelayCam. You pick their role, get an invite code, and send it however you like. You can do it from the mobile app or from the web.
Inviting someone from another company? Use a guest code instead. Guests only see one project. See Invite a guest to a project.
Invite a team member on mobile
1. Open Invite Team
In the RelayCam app, tap Team, then tap Invite Team. You can also tap your photo at the top left and choose Invite Your Crew.
2. Choose their role
Tap Account Type, choose a role, and tap Confirm.
3. Get the code and send it
Tap Get Invite Code.
Tap Share Code to send it by text, email, or any app on your phone. Or tap Copy Code and paste it wherever you like.
Codes last 14 days. The expiry date is shown under the code, and anyone with the code can join until then. One code works for everyone you share it with. Tap New Code any time to get another one. A new code doesn't cancel older ones, so they keep working until they expire.
Invite a team member on the web
In the left sidebar, click Team, then click Invite. The Invite User window opens.
Choose a role. RelayCam creates an invite code as soon as you pick one.
Click Copy Code to copy just the code, or click Share Invite to copy a ready-to-send message that includes the invite link. Paste it into a text or email.
RelayCam doesn't send the invite for you. You copy the code or message and send it yourself, the same way as on mobile.
Which role should I choose?
Role | What they can do |
Manager (web) | Access to all projects and features. Can invite people and manage users. Can't manage billing. You can choose this role when you invite from the web. |
Standard | Access to all projects. Can create new projects and contribute to projects. Can't invite crew members to the app or manage billing. |
Limited | Can see, access, and create projects they're added to. |
Crew | Can contribute to projects they're added to but can't create new projects. |
Guest | For companies you work with. Guests add photos and updates to one project. Choose Guest and assign a project to get a guest code. |
What your new team member does
Download RelayCam and create an account.
When the app asks Are you joining a team?, paste the invite code into the Invite code box and tap Join Team.
They can also open the invite link you sent. The link opens a page that shows the code with a Copy button and links to download the app. Once they join, they appear on your Team screen with their role.
Troubleshooting
What you see | What it means and what to do |
"That invite didn't work." | The code may have expired. Get a new code (New Code on mobile, or open Invite again on the web) and send a fresh one. |
