Adding In-Scene Media Placement

Use Rembrand AI Studio to add In-Scene Media Placement to your video content

Updated over 8 months ago

Once you’ve uploaded your video to Rembrand, you can leverage Rembrand AI Studio to add a paid campaign placement to your video. With AI Studio, creators have flexibility to determine where and how a brand asset appears within their video before it is posted to social channels.

Here's a quick interactive demo on how to add placement to your video scene:

Alternatively, if you prefer to read, here are the written steps:

1. Within “My Library”, find your video and select “AI Studio”.

2. Once you enter AI Studio you will be taken to the “Object Selection'' tab where you can choose the object you want to place in your video scene.

a. Select “My Offers” to check if your video qualifies for any paid campaigns with Rembrand. If your social channel meets the eligibility requirements, you’ll the following details:

  • A preview of the advertiser’s placement

  • The expected earnings you’ll make per thousand views (CPM)

  • The maximum number of views for which you can earn money from your video

  • The deadline by which you need to post the video to qualify for payment

3. If you uploaded your video using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, you'll be taken to the "Clip Selection" tab. If you uploaded via Sprites, you won't see the "Clip Selection" tab and will be directed to the "Placement" tab, as detailed in the next step.

In the “Clip Selection” tab, choose the video clip where you want to add the placement. All eligible clips will be displayed with details to help you choose the best option for your ad placement.

Here’s what you need to know about each clip:

  • Duration: The total time the scene is visible in the video. For a paid campaign, the placement must meet the brand’s requirements and appear on screen for at least 1 to 3 minutes, depending on the campaign. If the clip is longer than needed, the placement will only be shown for the required minimum duration.

  • Start: The time stamp when the scene first appears in the video.

  • Shots: The number of times the scene appears throughout the video.

When selecting a clip, think about where the placement will fit naturally in the scene. For example, a poster looks best on a wall, not on a curtain. After selecting your clip, click “Next” in the top right corner to continue.

4. In the “Placement” tab, you can adjust how the placement will appear in your video scene.

  • Source Preview: Shows the original, unedited video file.

  • Monitor Preview: Displays the edited sequence or timeline of your video project. Note if you uploaded a raw video clip via the Sprites workflow you will not see a monitor preview.

When you select an object, it will appear in the “Source Preview” image for you to adjust.

You have several options to modify the placement:

  • Generated Variants: Areas suggested by Rembrand’s AI as optimal for placing the object in the scene.

  • Select Object: Choose from different variations of the placement with various aspect ratios to fit different open spaces.

  • Placement Settings: Adjust the placement’s size, brightness, and blur if needed.

Once you’re satisfied with the placement, click “Next”. Answer the Placement Quality Questionnaire to ensure the placement meets Rembrand’s terms of service and the brand’s campaign requirements, as detailed here. Confirm that:

  • The location is ideal for the object.

  • The brand is highly visible.

  • The location and size are appropriate for the object.

  • The object is not occluded or covered through the video.

  • The object is aligned parallel to the camera's viewpoint.

5. In the “Animation & Disclosure” tab, you can add motion to the placement in your video scene. If you choose to add animation, you can preview the style with a GIF animation. Note that this animation will not show in the source preview but will be included in the final rendered video.

For paid campaigns, animations are typically pre-built and cannot be turned on or off. Paid campaigns also require visual disclosure statements, which you can preview here and will appear at the beginning of the placement.

Once you’re happy with the animations, click “Next” to proceed.
