How to Send an Acknowledgement

How to send an email or postcard acknowledgement to a donor who provided contact details.

With a Acknowledgements enabled, you can send thank-you emails or postcards to donors who include contact information in their grant requests.

Once subscribed, the Acknowledgements tab will appear in your left-hand menu. Click on it to view a list of Unprocessed grants. In the "Acknowledge" column on the right, you’ll see either a "Send" button or "Ineligible."

Please note: Grants marked "Ineligible" lack the necessary email or mailing address for sending a thank-you.

How to Send Acknowledgement Email

In the Acknowledgements tab, find a grant with an email address listed in the "Email" column and a "Send" button on the right.

Click "Send." A modal will open, defaulted to Email. Ensure it’s set to Email as intended.

Select one of the messages and click Preview to see what it will look like.

You will arrive on the Sent tab to confirm the email was sent successfully. The statuses will update automatically.

How to Send Acknowledgement Postcard

In the Acknowledgements tab, find a grant with an address in the "Acknowledgement" column and a "Send" button on the right.

Click "Send." If both email and address are available, the modal will default to Ren Recognize. Switch to Postcard if needed.

Select one of the messages and click Preview to see what it will look like.

Once satisfied, click "Send."

You will arrive on the Sent tab to confirm the postcard was sent successfully. The statuses will update automatically.
