Changes to Impact Metrics

We've improved the Giving Compass metrics feedback experience. See below for more details.

Upload your impact report directly β€” no link required

You can now attach your impact report as a file when submitting charity feedback, instead of needing to paste a URL. The upload option appears first on the form, with the URL field still available below if you prefer it.

  • Accepted formats: PDF (.pdf) and Word (.doc, .docx)

  • If you submit both a file and a URL, the file takes priority

  • Clear error messages appear if you upload an unsupported file type

  • The original URL submission method still works exactly as before

Cleaner "no annual report" option when submitting metrics

If you don't have an annual report to submit, the flow is now much simpler. When you check "I do not have an annual report," you'll see a dropdown with clear options instead of a freeform text box:

  • "I do not have an annual report"

  • "I do not know what this is"

  • "Other" (lets you type a custom note)

The report URL field disables automatically when this box is checked, so there's no confusion.

Year now shown in Giving Compass metrics modals

Metrics modals in Giving Compass now display the year alongside the metric, so it's always clear which reporting period you're looking at. A small but handy clarity improvement.

Confirmation step before submitting blank metrics

We've added a quick confirmation step if you try to submit metrics without making any selections. A modal will ask you to confirm before finalizing β€” helping prevent accidental blank submissions that are tricky to undo later.
