As part of our Paid Subscription, you can now prompt clients who have left you a review to quickly copy it to your Google Business Profile without having to rewrite it!
This process is manual to ensure compliance with Google’s policies and to preserve the authenticity of reviews.
After connecting your Google Business Profile with your Renowned account (if you have not done so, please click here for US and click here for AU and NZ to learn more), click 'Dashboard,' then 'Google Reviews' in the left-hand panel, and select the 'Get Google Reviews' tab.
Please note that clients must have a Google/Gmail account to successfully post their reviews to Google.
Click the 'Send Email' next to the review you want the client to copy to Google.
Once requested, you will receive the following prompt, letting you know a request has been sent via email!
Your client will receive an email (see sample below).
The client needs to click the 'Share Review to Google' button, which will prompt them to copy the review by clicking the 'Click to copy review' button and then clicking 'Share on Google.' This will take them straight to your Google Business page for them to post!
This manual submission process is in alignment with Google’s policies, ensuring that all shared reviews maintain authenticity and comply strictly with platform guidelines.
Clients must be logged in to their Google accounts before leaving a Google review.
This requirement is part of Google’s policies to ensure that all reviews come from verified user accounts, enhancing their trustworthiness.
Note: These prompts are sent only after the client has submitted their review on RateMyAgent, ensuring a logical sequence in the review process. RateMyAgent sends a series of up to three reminders over 12 days to clients who haven’t yet shared their reviews on Google, which are scheduled as follows:
First reminder: 2 days after the initial submission.
Second reminder: 4 days later.
Third reminder: 6 days later.
Troubleshooting Issues
Why Some Reviews May Not Appear on Google
Inactive or Missing Google Accounts: Clients must have an active Google account to post reviews. Without one, they won’t be able to complete the process.
Missed Prompts: If a client closes their browser or skips the step to post to Google, the review won’t appear. Client will still receive the email prompts asking them to post the review on Google if this was missed upon posting the review in RateMyAgent.
Addressing Duplicate Review Reminders
If clients continue receiving reminders despite already posting the review on Google, it may indicate the review posted to Google through RateMyAgent. Ask your client to select 'No thanks. Don't remind me' button on the email they have received or contact our Customer Support team with your client's email so we can stop the reminder emails for your clients.
*Just so you know, individuals who subscribe to the Pro subscription can only prompt previous clients to post through their Google MyBusiness page.
