Setting up a direct Data Feed

Making sure your data is timely and accurate

Updated over a week ago

Instructions for setting up a Direct Data Feed

Data Feeds allow listings to feed directly to Renowned from your multi-loader software such as MyDesktop, PortPlus, Multiarray, E2 and ReNet to name a few. Data feeds streamline the transfer of property listings from your agency’s account to external platforms, offering benefits like automated uploads, seamless third-party integration, and reduced manual data entry efforts.

Additionally, Renowned offers a Portal Feed feature which allows listings to push directly from the user's account to RateMyAgent. This feature ensures that properties are displayed efficiently and are ready for prospective clients.

Who can request a Data Feed Setup?

Any team member can request a data feed from your agency to Renowned, however, the request must include the contact details of an authorised representative such as a Principal or Director.

How do I do it?

Setting up a Data Feed is very easy.

Step 1: Select 'Setting' then 'Data Feed' from your dashboard menu followed by 'Connect'

Step 2: Fill in the details, tick the terms and conditions box, and then click 'Submit Data Feed Request'. The Director/Principal field can even be someone authorised to make changes to your agreement with your CRM like an Office Manager or another authorized personnel. Note: Ensure you have an external agency ID and, if applicable, an active Vault account to facilitate integration with specific platforms.

The Agency ID code is a critical component of the setup process and must be accurately configured to avoid integration errors.

Additionally, it is important to configure and input your unique agency ID in your Vault account to enable the feed properly. This ensures streamlined integration and correct property updates.

Accurate configuration of the Agency ID involves logging in, locating the ID in your CRM, and ensuring it aligns with Renowned requirements.

Step 3: Your Director/Principal will receive an email requiring their confirmation and approval before the data feed request will be forwarded to your multi-loader software provider.

The email confirmation step serves as a verification and ensures the request is officially approved by someone with the authority to make changes.

How long does it take?

The turnaround time for your data feed to become active is dependent on your multi-loader software provider. In general new data feed connections to RateMyAgent will be live within 72 hours of your Principal/Director confirming the request. There are some exceptions to this where you need to get in touch with your provider directly, like Rockend (AU) or Property Suite (NZ) To avoid delays, double-check that all email credentials and contact details provided during the setup process are accurate. For questions about integrating portal feeds with Renowned or configuring agency IDs, consult your CRM provider or Renowned support. For MLS integrations, coordination with your provider is essential. Ensure you have communicated the permissions required for data feeds to sync with RateMyAgent. If connection issues arise, verify the accuracy of the agency ID in the Vault system and ensure all permissions with the MLS provider are correctly configured. Additionally, to maintain consistent branding, synchronize agent profiles by updating branding across the office dashboard. Outdated branding can cause discrepancies in visibility.

Manually uploading a property

If it looks like some of your properties are missing, there are a few ways that this can be resolved. The quickest way to get a property onto your profile if you don't have a data feed (also known as a CRM) connected from your agency to Renowned is to upload a property manually from your dashboard if you are the listing agent. Additionally, verify whether a direct CRM or data feed connection is established with RateMyAgent. Confirm that the data feed is active and properly configured to push listing details. If a data feed is not active, you may need to explore manual property addition or reconfigure CRM settings to streamline future updates. Accurate address details and unambiguous property configurations are essential for properties to appear correctly. Ensure that key fields such as street number, street name, and suburb are entered without errors.

AU & NZ manually upload a listing When manually adding properties, gather crucial details like sold date, sold price, and status. Ensure that all data fields are completed to maintain consistency and accurate reflection on the platform. After uploading, you can request vendor or buyer reviews once the property is live.

Listings not sending from your CRM

If you are sending listings or updates from your CRM but they are not accurate on Renowned, please provide us with the XML file name that has been sent to RateMyAgent. We can search our system to see why the file has not loaded correctly and updated on our end. Ensure your CRM integration is functioning properly by double-checking configurations. Confirm whether the correct agent assignments are recorded and that synchronization issues have been resolved. Additionally, verify that each property's address details are accurate and complete, as errors can prevent listings from appearing properly on Renowned.

Withdrawing/deleting a listing

Sometimes there might be a property on your profile that isn't yours, you can withdraw this from your profile in a couple of steps that we outline in the article here.

This works the same as deleting it. Please note this will remove the sale from your agency as well.

Manual Upload for Missing Properties

  • Collect essential details such as sold date, price, and status to manually add properties not synced through data feeds.

Verify Updates on Profile

  • Refresh your Renowned profile or log out and back in to confirm that recent changes are reflected appropriately. Following these steps can help ensure that your sold property portfolio is accurate and up-to-date. For persistent issues, consider reaching out to Renowned support for further assistance.

  • Ensure branding across agent profiles is consistent. Use the 'Sync Branding' option in the office dashboard for uniform updates.
