Reply to a Review

Updated over a week ago

Why would you want to reply to a review?

You may wish to thank your client for their positive feedback. Alternatively, if you receive a negative review it is often a good idea to put up a public reply which then gives your prospective vendors more information. More help on dealing with negative review here. Clients get 60 days to edit a review but replying to a review will lock the review from the client being able to edit it once the reply has been submitted. Responding to reviews also ensures transparency and demonstrates your professional engagement with clients, fostering trust and maintaining strong relationships.

Can the reviewer reply or comment?

No. Only you can reply to a review, and you can only reply once. Your reply will be public and will appear under the original review. Once you have replied, the vendor/ buyer cannot change their review (although they can always ask to have the review, and thus reply, removed entirely). This ensures your reply makes sense in relation to the review. Additionally, your response will reinforce your commitment to transparency and highlight your active involvement in addressing client feedback.

How do you reply?

Step 1: Log in to Renowned account, click 'Reviews' and then go to the Completed tab.

Step 2: Search for the review that you want to reply to and click 'Reply'

Step 3: Type your reply, then click 'Submit'.

Please note this reply will be publicly visible.

The client will be sent an email to let them know that you have replied to their review. Replying promptly and professionally to reviews showcases your attentiveness and commitment to building positive client relationships.

Can an admin reply to a review on behalf of an agent?

Yes, absolutely! An admin has the capability to log into the office's profile and respond to their client reviews even if the review was specifically left for an individual agent.

How it works:

  1. The admin logs into the office's profile/account.

  2. They navigate to the completed reviews page.

  3. Click Reply. From there, they can draft and post a reply that will be publicly displayed on behalf of the agents for whom the review was originally submitted.

Replying to reviews requires a paid Renowned subscription

If you are not subscribed, consider alternative methods to thank your clients, such as sending a polite email or a personal message.
