What if I don't currently rent?

How to fill out the current rental section if you own your home — including what to enter for monthly housing costs.

If you own your home, you'll still need to fill out the current rental section. Here's what to enter.

Housing Provider Name

Enter your own name. That signals there's no separate landlord on your housing.

Housing Provider Phone Number

Enter your own phone number.

Length of time you have lived there

Pick the option that matches how long you've owned and lived in your home.

Total Monthly Housing Costs

Enter the equivalent of monthly rent for your home — your mortgage, property tax, and homeowners insurance combined. Don't include utilities or other variable costs.

If you own your home outright with no mortgage, enter your monthly property tax and insurance.

Reason For Leaving

If you're selling your home, pick Selling home. If you're moving for another reason (job, family, upgrading, etc.), pick whichever best fits. If none match, pick None of the above.
