What this setting does
Minimum notice is the shortest gap you will allow between the moment a customer books and the moment they pick up. If you set it to 1 hour, someone visiting your site at 9:00 AM cannot choose a pickup before 10:00 AM.
Use it when you need time to hook up, inspect, or move a trailer before a customer arrives.
Where to set it
Open the Trailers tab.
Click the trailer you want to change.
Find the field labelled Min. notice (hours).
Enter the number of hours. 0 means no restriction — customers can book for right now.
Save the trailer.
Three things to know
It is set per trailer, not for the whole account. If you want the same lead time everywhere, set it on each trailer. Different trailers can have different lead times, which is useful if one unit needs more prep than the others.
It is measured in whole hours. You can enter 1, 2, 12, 24 and so on. Half-hour values such as 90 minutes are not supported — the field only accepts whole numbers. If you need 90 minutes, round up to 2 hours.
It only limits your public booking site. Bookings you create yourself from the admin are not restricted, so you can always take a last-minute rental over the phone or at the counter even when the website would have refused it.
What the customer sees
Times inside the notice window are simply not offered on your booking site. The customer does not get an error — the earliest time they can select is already past the window, so there is nothing to explain to them.

Minimum notice controls how soon a rental can start. If you want to stop a trailer being booked at all for a stretch of time — maintenance, repairs, personal use — block those dates on the calendar instead.
