Why is the guarantee always 3 years?
Under the Renters’ Rights Act, residential tenancies in England are rolling tenancies.
This means there is no guaranteed end date to a tenancy. Even if a tenant expects to stay for a shorter period, the tenancy itself can continue indefinitely unless it is formally ended.
For example:
A student may expect to stay for one academic year
A professional tenant may only plan to stay temporarily
A tenant may initially expect a short stay
However, the tenancy can still continue beyond those plans because the tenancy itself is rolling.
Because of this, Rentmigo uses a standard 3-year guarantee structure across all applications.
Does this mean I must stay in the property for 3 years?
No.
The 3-year guarantee term does not commit you to remaining in the property for 3 years.
If your tenancy ends earlier and you move out of the property, the guarantee simply ends alongside the tenancy.
Can I get a shorter guarantee for a lower fee?
No.
Rentmigo currently only offers a standard 3-year guarantee term across all applications. There is no separate pricing or shorter-term option available.
