Overview
This article shows you how to create flexible memberships with custom billing intervals in your Admin Panel. It’s designed for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to align membership billing with treatment cadence while reducing cancellations and billing confusion.
Before You Start
You must have Admin access to create and manage memberships.
Flexible billing applies to new memberships only.
Once a patient enrolls, the billing cadence cannot be changed.
Flexible memberships support billing cycles from 1 week up to 3 years, depending on configuration.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Create a flexible membership
Log in to your Admin Panel.
Go to App Builder > Memberships.
Click Create New Membership.
Under Membership Period, choose how often the membership bills:
Weekly (for example, every 4 weeks)
Monthly (default)
Quarterly (every 3 months)
Yearly (every 12 months)
Custom (any interval from 1 week up to 3 years)
Select the Minimum Period Commitment.
Add membership benefits:
Included treatments
Milestone bonuses
Beauty Bank allocations
Review all settings and click Save.
How It Works
Flexible memberships allow you to control how often patients are billed.
Benefit availability automatically aligns with the billing cycle unless you customize it.
Example: If billing is quarterly, included treatments can unlock after 3 months.
Membership cards and checkout messaging clearly display billing terms like:
“Every 3 months”
“Every 12 months”
Once patients are active, billing cadence is locked. Any changes require creating a new membership version.

FAQs / Troubleshooting
Can I change the billing cycle for an active membership?
No. Billing cadence is locked once a patient enrolls. You must create a new membership to make changes.
How does benefit availability work with flexible billing?
You can manually control when benefits unlock, or allow them to automatically align with the billing cycle.
What happens if rollover is disabled?
Unused treatments are removed at the end of each billing cycle. You’ll see a confirmation before finalizing this option.
What is the default billing cycle?
Monthly billing remains the default unless you choose a different interval.
Can I create memberships longer than 3 years?
No. Flexible memberships are capped at 3 years to remain compliant with state regulations.
