Overview
Flexible membership billing lets you control how often patients are charged for a membership. You can choose weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or fully custom intervals from 1 week up to 3 years. Benefit availability can align automatically with the billing cycle, or you can customize unlock timing manually.
This article is for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to align membership billing with treatment cadence while reducing cancellations and billing confusion.
Before You Start
You must have Administrator or Manager access to create and manage memberships.
Open Memberships from the Catalog -> Services section of the left-side navigation.
Flexible billing applies to new memberships only. Once a patient enrolls, the billing cadence is locked and cannot be changed.
Flexible memberships support billing cycles from 1 week up to 3 years, depending on configuration.
Benefit availability can align with the billing cycle automatically, or you can set custom unlock timing for included treatments, milestone bonuses, and Beauty Bank allocations.
Membership cards and checkout messaging display billing terms clearly (for example, “Every 3 months” or “Every 12 months”).
To change billing cadence for existing members, you must create a new membership version. Email services@repeatmd.com if you need help coordinating that change.
Why It Matters
Flexible billing helps you match membership revenue to how you actually deliver care:
Align billing with treatment schedules. Quarterly injectable memberships can bill every 3 months instead of monthly, reducing confusion about when benefits unlock.
Reduce churn from billing mismatches. Patients who expect quarterly visits are less likely to cancel when billing matches their care cadence.
Support diverse membership tiers. Offer weekly Beauty Bank top-ups, monthly skincare memberships, or annual wellness plans from the same builder.
Clear patient messaging. Billing frequency appears on membership cards and at checkout so patients know exactly what they are signing up for.

Best Practices and Pro Tips
Match billing to your most common treatment interval. If most members visit every 12 weeks, a quarterly billing cycle feels natural and reduces support questions.
Preview checkout messaging before publishing. Confirm that billing terms read clearly on the membership card and checkout screen.
Use custom intervals sparingly. Standard weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly cycles are easiest for patients to understand.
Plan benefit unlock timing when you set the billing cycle. If billing is quarterly, confirm included treatments unlock on the schedule you intend.
Create a new membership version for cadence changes. Do not attempt to change billing frequency for enrolled patients; launch a new version for future enrollments instead.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: Can I change the billing cycle for an active membership?
A: No. Billing cadence is locked once a patient enrolls. Create a new membership version for future enrollments. Contact services@repeatmd.com if you need help coordinating changes for existing members.
Q: How does benefit availability work with flexible billing?
A: You can manually control when benefits unlock, or allow them to automatically align with the billing cycle. For example, if billing is quarterly, included treatments can unlock after 3 months.
Q: What happens if rollover is disabled?
A: Unused treatments are removed at the end of each billing cycle. You will see a confirmation before finalizing this option.
Q: What is the default billing cycle?
A: Monthly billing is the default unless you choose a different interval.
Q: Can I create memberships longer than 3 years?
A: No. Flexible memberships are capped at 3 years to remain compliant with state regulations.
Q: Do flexible billing changes affect existing members?
A: Flexible billing settings apply when you create a new membership. Existing members keep the billing cadence they enrolled under.
