This article explains how to add milestone bonuses to a membership in your Admin Panel. It’s designed for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to reward long-term members with treatments or perks based on how long they stay enrolled and to reduce membership churn.


Before You Start

  • You must have Admin access to manage memberships.

  • Milestone bonuses can be added to both new and existing memberships.

  • Milestone bonuses are compatible with:

    • Flexible billing memberships

    • Beauty Bank memberships

  • Patients can preview milestone bonuses in the app before they unlock.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Add a milestone bonus to a membership

  1. Log in to your Admin Panel.

  2. Go to App Builder > Memberships.

  3. Create a new membership or edit an existing one.

  4. Click + Add Milestone Bonus.

  5. Enter a Bonus Description (this is visible to patients).

  6. Select when the milestone bonus unlocks (for example, after 3, 6, or 12 months).

  7. Choose how the bonus is redeemed:

    • Include All – the member receives all included treatments.

    • Choose From – the member selects from a list of treatments.

      • If Choose From is selected, set how many treatments the member can choose.

  8. Add treatments to the milestone bonus:

    • Search for and select an existing treatment.

    • Enter the quantity the member receives.

  9. (Optional) Click Add another treatment to include additional options.

  10. Remove any treatment using the trash icon.

  11. Click Save and add to Membership.


Add a milestone bonus item that isn’t in your shop

If you want to include something not sold in your shop:

  1. Click Select a treatment, then choose + Create a new treatment.

  2. Enter the required details.

  3. Click Save and add to membership treatments.

Note: This creates a membership-only item


How It Works

  • Milestone bonuses unlock automatically after a member reaches the defined enrollment milestone.

  • Once earned, milestone bonuses never expire.

  • Patients can preview upcoming milestone bonuses and see when they unlock.

  • If a patient cancels before a milestone unlocks, they do not receive the bonus.

  • If a patient cancels after a milestone unlocks, they can still redeem the bonus.

  • Unlocked milestone bonuses appear in the patient’s Wallet in the app.

  • Milestone bonuses do not affect billing cadence or membership pricing.

Editing Milestone Bonuses

  • Milestone bonuses can be edited even when a membership has active members.

  • When editing, admins can choose:

    • Edit for New & Existing Members – changes apply to everyone.

    • Edit for New Members Only – changes apply only to future enrollments.

Do milestone bonuses expire?

No. Once earned, milestone bonuses never expire.

What happens if a patient cancels their membership?

  • Cancel before unlock: the milestone bonus is not earned.

  • Cancel after unlock: the milestone bonus can still be redeemed.

Can patients see milestone bonuses before they unlock?

Yes. Patients can preview the milestone bonus and see when it will unlock.

Where do patients redeem milestone bonuses?

Unlocked milestone bonuses appear in the patient’s Wallet in the app.

Can milestone bonuses be used with Beauty Bank or flexible billing?

Yes. Milestone bonuses work with both.
