Custom shop categories
For the first iteration of this feature, you are limited to creating 1 custom category at a time and can be deleted manually at any time.
Note: A custom category does not get archived. If you delete a category and want to re-launch it at a later date, you will need to create a new category from scratch.
Types of custom categories
Evergreen
Grouping services and packages that fall under a specific category such as Facials or Injectables.
Promotional
Grouping together specific services and packages that are eligible for a promotion that is currently running. You can also use this to promote an upcoming event around new service offerings as well.
[OPTIONAL] Easily promote your custom shop category across your Patient Rewards app with a sitewide promotion.
Creating a custom category
1. Log into admin panel and click 'App Builder' in your left side navigation
2. Click Shop: Browse and scroll down to your shop categories
3. Click '+Add a custom category'
4. Click into the small grey box to upload your Custom category display image. This shows up on your shop browse page.
We recommend this image is 360 x 360px, with a max. file size of 2 MB.
5. Create a category tab name - this will be the name of the category for your app users.
6. Create a category header - this will show up on the header image within the category
7. Create a short description - we recommend keeping this to under 20 characters
8. Click into the grey box to upload your category header image. This is the image that shows up at the top of the category when an app user clicks in
We recommend this image is 1170 x 1080px, with a max. file size of 2 MB

You will be redirected back to your Admin Panel and see your new category featured at the top of your shop category list as well as an added tab at the top of your screen before Memberships.
Edit your category
You can edit your category by following the steps below:
The pencil icon on the bottom right of your screen
The button that says 'View and promote custom category'
Clicking directly into the new tab that has been created at the top of your screen
Keep in mind:
Should you want to delete this category, you can use the trash can icon on the bottom right of your screen next to the pencil icon.
Your category tab will function like any other category tab in your App builder.
Should you wish to update the header and sub header copy, you must do so on the Shop tab within your App builder.
Should you wish to add a service that is not yet live in your shop, you must go to your Treatments or Packages tab to create the service before adding it to your category.
