With Affirm, you can give your patients the flexibility to pay at their own pace.

Your patients will be seeing Affirm promotions across the app to help drive awareness to the financing options available to them in-app.

1. When patients are ready to check out, they should go to their cart to finalize their purchase.

2. Once confirmed, they will click Checkout at the bottom of the screen and be directed to now select their form of payment.

3. Next, the patient will need to select Affirm as their payment option and click Place order at the bottom of their screen.

4. Your patient will confirm their email address and select Pay.

5. The page will redirect to Affirm’s website where the patient can use their mobile number to log into their existing Affirm account.

6. If the patient has never used Affirm, they will be redirected to create their account:

Patients can create an account to finance your purchase with Affirm in a few different ways. Click here to learn more.

If the patient is experiencing trouble logging in with their mobile number, click here to troubleshoot the issue, or fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

7. Once the patient is signed in, they can pick a payment plan that’s best for them. Selecting the payment plan does not mean you're qualified. You will go through the qualification process after selecting the desired payment plan on this screen.

8. Once approved, Affirm will share the payment plan showing exactly what is due on the designated due date. Approvals should take no more than 15 seconds. Patients can set up automatic payments for this purchase by selecting the toggle at the bottom of the screen.

9. Check the box that you agree with the terms and conditions.

10. Click Continue.

The patient will then be redirected back to RepeatMD for your order confirmation.

💡Pro tip:

The purchase will show up as MyRepeat on their bank statement.

Affirm FAQs

  • Can Affirm be used for purchases made in-office?

    • No. Your patients can only use Affirm if they are making a purchase on your app.

  • My practice is based in Canada, what does this mean for me?

    • This update will not affect your app at all! We will make Affirm financing available in Canada when we launch our Canadian shop for V2. Be on the lookout for more information from your CSS.

  • What financing programs does Affirm offer?

    • Affirm has a powerful checkout solution that dynamically offers the perfect payment options for your patients and cart sizes. Shoppers receive the most relevant payment terms with just a few simple pieces of information. With Affirm, your patients will see terms anywhere between 3 and 36 months. Generally, Affirm will support orders between $50–$20,000.

    • Buying with Affirm is quick and easy—we ask new users for just a few pieces of basic information, and then our approval decision only takes 10–12 seconds. Returning users just need to sign in to apply. Shoppers are then offered between 1–3 payment plan options depending on their cart size and credit history, and on the financing program you choose.

  • How do my patients access Affirm as a payment option?

    • Patients can only use Affirm if they are making a purchase on your app.

    • Once services are added to their cart, they can select Affirm as their payment method at checkout. They’ll enter a few pieces of information and get a real-time decision. (Or if they’re a returning user, they’ll simply sign in.) They’ll then see 1–3 payment options with terms ranging from 3 weeks–36 months, depending on their cart size and credit history, and on the financing program you chose.

    • Once your customer confirms their payment plan, their order will process. Your customer will then make their payments at affirm.com or in the Affirm app, or they can turn on AutoPay.

  • What will my customers pay?

    • For each Affirm transaction, shoppers pay 0–36% APR based on their credit history and the financing program you choose.

    • If your customer isn't approved for the full amount in their cart, they will be asked for a downpayment. They cannot edit the downpayment amount nor can they request to pay a downpayment if it wasn't offered to them. Read more about it here.

    • When shoppers select Affirm at checkout, they’ll get detailed payment plan options. No matter their payment plan, they’ll never pay a penny more than they agreed to on day one—Affirm never charges shoppers late fees or any other kind of fee. We take on all repayment risk.

  • Does checking a patient's eligibility affect their credit score?

    • No—your credit score won’t be affected when patients create an Affirm account or check their eligibility.

  • My patient has been denied, what happens next?

    • Affirm doesn’t approve every application, so you may be approved for a loan at some stores but not others, or may already have an Affirm loan but not be approved for another right now. If a patient gets declined, they will receive an email explaining more about their decision. To learn more about Affirm Loans, click here.

    • There also may be a time when your customer isn't approved for the full amount in their cart. In that case, they will be asked for a downpayment.
