fOverview
When patients find your practice online, your website alone rarely builds trust. They need engaging content that shows your personality and motivates them to visit.
This guide walks you through driving app sign-ups using your RepeatMD link on social channels. You will copy your shortened app link in the Admin Panel, add it to bios and messaging tools, create content such as Reels and graphics, and follow best practices to maximize click-throughs.
This article is for practice owners, managers, and marketing staff promoting your Patient App during launch or ongoing campaigns.
Before You Start
Copy your app link from the Admin Panel under App Builder → Home → App Link before posting.
Set up a shortened link if you have not already. See Shorten your URL with Bitly.
For ready-made graphics and memes, open Client Resources → Marketing Materials in the Admin Panel or use Use launch and social media graphics (Admin Panel).
Use app links on social media, not QR code image files. See Use your RepeatMD QR codes (Admin Panel).
Why It Matters
Promoting your app on social media helps you:
Keep sign-up always available: Placing your link in bios and automated messages lets new and existing followers sign up whenever they see your content.
Boost conversions: Personalized DMs, Reels, and eye-catching graphics motivate followers to download and engage with your app.
Build consistent branding: A unified approach across Instagram, Linktree, and other platforms builds trust and makes sign-up seamless.
How It Works
App link in bio and posts. Your shortened RepeatMD link lives in your Instagram bio (or Linktree) so followers can tap through from any post that says “link in bio.”
Content types. Practices drive sign-ups with tutorial Reels (including green screen demos), before-and-after highlights, static graphics, memes, and story stickers.
Marketing Materials hub. Download category-based graphics from Google Drive via the Help Center Social Media Launch Resources collection or Client Resources → Marketing Materials in the Admin Panel.

Set up automated welcome messages for new followers
Instagram can send an automatic DM when someone follows you. See Send automated messages to new Instagram followers (Admin Panel) for setup steps and copy templates.
Best Practices and Pro Tips
Keep CTAs consistent: Use the same headline (for example, “Link in Bio for $25 Off”) across posts, DMs, and graphics.
Highlight benefits first: In captions, lead with the value (“Get $25 off”) before describing how to sign up.
Use branded imagery: Incorporate your logo and color palette so posts stand out in followers’ feeds.
Add closed captions on Reels to boost watch time and accessibility.
Personalize automated messages with your brand voice.
Post a variety of content: tutorial Reels, static graphics, memes, and story stickers.
Stay consistent during launch week and for seasonal promotions.
Do not:
Post a plain photo of your QR code. Followers cannot click it in mobile feeds.
Mix multiple unrelated CTAs in one post. Keep each post focused on your app.
Use technical jargon. Frame features in terms of patient value and ease.

Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: My bio link is not working. What should I check?
A: Verify you pasted the full URL (including https://) and saved with the blue checkmark. If you use Linktree, confirm your Instagram bio points to your Linktree URL, not the raw app link unless you prefer a single direct link.
Q: Can I use the same graphics for Facebook and Instagram?
A: Yes. Confirm image dimensions match each platform’s recommended sizes and update platform-specific CTAs as needed.
Q: Should I post QR codes on Instagram?
A: No. Use your shortened app link for social media. Reserve QR codes for in-practice print materials.
