Overview
Adding your app URL to your Instagram bio makes the Patient App accessible to followers at all times. On posts, you can add a simple CTA such as “Sign up with link in bio” or “Shop with link in bio.”
You have two common options: paste your RepeatMD app link directly in your bio, or add it to Linktree when you need multiple links in one place.
This article is for practice owners and marketing staff setting up Instagram during launch or ongoing promotion.
Before You Start
Copy your app link from the Admin Panel under [SME: confirm current path — formerly App Builder → Home → App Link].
Shorten your link if needed. See Shorten your URL with Bitly.
Decide your bio link title copy, for example: “Get $25 off your next service when you sign up for our app!”
Why It Matters
Your Instagram bio is the one permanent link on your profile. When it points to your Patient App:
Followers can sign up from any post that references “link in bio.”
You avoid posting long URLs in captions where they are not clickable.
Your welcome offer stays visible every time someone visits your profile.
How It Works
Option A: Direct app link in bio. Paste your RepeatMD app URL as an external link on your Instagram profile. Best when you have one primary CTA.
Option B: Linktree in bio. Add your app link inside a Linktree page, then paste your Linktree URL in your Instagram bio. Best when you also promote booking pages, Alle, or other destinations.
For broader social strategy, see Promote on social media (Admin Panel).
Step-by-Step Instructions
Option A: Add your app link directly to Instagram
Open the Instagram app on your device.
Tap your profile.
Under your profile picture, tap Edit profile.
Tap Add link.
Tap Add external link.
Paste your RepeatMD app link in the URL field.
Enter a title with your welcome offer, for example: “Get $25 off your next service when you sign up for our app!”
Tap the blue checkmark to save.
Option B: Add your app link to Linktree
Go to linktr.ee and click Get Started for Free.
Enter your information and click Register.
Select Continue with Free to open a free account.
Check your email for a verification link and click it.
Select Appearance and add a logo and background to your page.
Click Links to start building your Linktree.
Add a title and web link for each destination. Include your RepeatMD app link with welcome-offer copy.
Continue adding links until you are finished.
Copy your Linktree URL and add it to your Instagram bio using Option A steps 1 through 8, pasting the Linktree URL instead of the raw app link.
Best Practices and Pro Tips
Match bio text to your link title. If your link says “$25 off,” mention the same offer in your bio description.
Use a shortened URL so the link looks clean if Instagram displays it.
Update the link when you change welcome offers or run limited-time launch promotions.
Test on mobile by tapping the link from your profile in a private browser session.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: Should I use my raw RepeatMD URL or a shortened link?
A: Most practices use a Bitly short link for a cleaner appearance. See Shorten your URL with Bitly.
Q: Can I add more than one link on Instagram without Linktree?
A: Instagram supports multiple external links on supported account types. Linktree is still useful when you want a single landing page for many destinations.
Q: What if my link does not save?
A: Confirm you tapped the blue checkmark after entering URL and title. Re-copy your app link from the Admin Panel and try again.
