Making Your First Prediction

Predictions are fast, easy and fun

While there are some steps to learn, the entire prediction process should take no more than 30 seconds from beginning to end. Make as many predictions as you like from a single source ledger.

Analyze Data

The icon buttons at the top of the page also serve as to nudge you forward in the process of creating predictions.

First, import your data from an illustration or spreadsheet proposal as previously discussed. Then click the Analyze Data button to map out the number patterns that will be used by the ensemble model of AI. An Analyze tab will appear confirming the patterns have been learned.

You are now ready to make predictions.

The ensemble AI model is a closed system. The data is learned once and then discarded. It is also worth of note that the data never leaves our server and is not at risk of being shared with others. The purpose of the AI component is simply to reduce the generalization error associated with regression analysis.

Start Prediction

Following the icons from left to right, we now reach the Start Prediction button. This will take you to the "Create Prediction" tab and reset the workspace so that it is ready to receive instructions for a new prediction.

The Create Prediction page should look identical to the Edit page. Just remember, you can edit data on the Edit tab, but not on the Create Prediction tab. And you can create predictions from this data on the Create Prediction tab, but not on the Edit tab. Next, select the columns you want to change by clicking and dragging in the header area. Then right click and mark the columns as either Dependent, Independent or Input columns.

In this example, we'll mark all the selected columns as dependent. Any number you change in a blue dependent area will change all the other blue cells including blue cells in the same column as the cell or cells you changed. So if we change one of the premiums to $70,000 and click Predict All, the other premiums will change and all the illustration values will be updated.

To change some of the premiums, but not all, mark the column as a green Input Column, and the rest of the columns blue dependent columns. Again click Predict All. Input columns drive dependent columns.

Changing a cell in a blue dependent column changes all the other cells in every blue column. Changing a cell in a a green input column changes only that cell in that same green column, but drives changes in every cell of the blue columns.
