The SEED index (currently in beta) is a scientific tool developed to measure how close a site is to its natural potential state. Rather than measuring a site in isolation, SEED compares the ecological condition of your site to what that ecosystem would look like if it were undisturbed, giving you a meaningful benchmark for ecological recovery.
This is particularly powerful for demonstrating restoration progress over time: you can show funders and stakeholders not just that trees were planted, but that the ecosystem is genuinely recovering toward its natural state.
SEED index access is included on all Insights plans. Click here to learn more about the SEED index.
