Getting Started with ResearchAi

How to Ask Questions

  • Simply type your question: ResearchAi can handle productivity, labor, and billing-related inquiries. (Note the current limitations with billing questions at the bottom of the article)

  • Follow-up or Reset: Want to adjust your question or ask something new? Just type a follow-up or click “Reset” to clear filters and start fresh

Viewing Responses

When ResearchAI responds, it provides easy-to-understand graphs or tables based on your question.

Graph Mode

  • Colored squares at the top of the graph indicate what is being visualized(e.g., “Productivity,” “Facility,” “Date of Service”).

  • Funnel icon (Gray) specifically represents an active filter.

    • We recommend making changes to the above “icons” directly through that chat rather than clicking and adjusting the visualized data via the Colored square or Gray Squares. If you do adjust a filter and need to revert click Undo via this button.

  • Hover over parts of the graph to see detailed information.

  • Toggle between graph and table views by using the button located at the top-right corner of the visual.

Table Mode

  • Switch between graph and table views using the toggle in the top-right corner.

  • Drag and drop columns to reorder them as needed.

  • Filter and refine columns by clicking the three-dot icon at the top of each column.

    • Note: Sometimes columns are not always filterable

Tips for Effective Questions/Prompts

  • Clearly specify if you want multiple visuals by saying “separate graphs.”

IMPORTANT NOTE: For specific percentage questions, use decimals (e.g., enter 0.8 for 80%).

Example Questions to Try:

Quick Productivity Checks:

  • "Show productivity last week per discipline."

  • "List the top 3 performers per facility last week."

Detailed Analyses:

  • "Compare DOR productivity versus facility productivity without DOR."

  • "Display overtime, regular, and PTO hours separately by facility."

Exploring Data Further:

  • "Why was [therapist’s name] productivity low last week?"

  • "What CPT codes were billed last week?"

Alternative Questions to Explore (Click the Arrow to Expand)

  • Productivity last month broken down by facility

  • Productivity last week per discipline

  • Productivity this month per role (avoid OTAs)

  • Compare PT vs. OT last week

Special Cases & Exceptions

  • DOR Special Case: If someone is a DOR and a licensed therapist, they will only be identified as a DOR in follow-up queries but included in discipline-specific calculations (e.g., PT discipline productivity).

Additional Capabilities

  • Ask multiple questions at once and explicitly request separate visuals by saying “separate graphs.”

  • You can request explanations of any formulas or terms used in the visuals.

Tips for Better Use

  • If stuck in applied filters and want to change topics, click "Reset" to clear and start fresh.

  • Avoid repeating the same questions multiple times, as ResearchAI will remind you gently that the question was repeated.
