Med B Cap Management Report

The Med B Cap Management Report helps teams track each patient’s current therapy charges under Medicare Part B, giving clear visibility into how close each patient is to their KX threshold.

Updated over 6 months ago

Where to Find It

You can access this report under the Billing tab within the Department Metrics section of both:

  • Enterprise (Regionals) Portal

  • Provider (Therapist/DOR) Portal

What the Report Shows

Each patient appears on a single row, displaying Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) prior charges together.

This layout makes it simple to review totals across all disciplines and quickly identify patients nearing their cap.

Key Columns

  • Patient Name

  • Episode of Care

  • Prior OT charges in one column

  • Prior PT/SLP charges in one column

  • Total Charges to Date

  • Remaining Minutes to Next Unit

  • KX Threshold Status

How to Use It

  • Review each patient’s totals to monitor progress toward the KX threshold.

  • Use filters to view specific facilities, therapists, or disciplines.

  • Look for blank or missing charge fields. The report differentiates between a true zero (0) and a blank entry (–), allowing quick identification of incomplete prior charge data.

Why It Matters

The Med B Cap Management Report helps your team:

  • Prevent billing delays or overages by catching missing or incorrect prior charges early.

  • Stay compliant with Medicare Part B cap limits.

  • Support therapist planning with real-time charge visibility across all disciplines.
