Overview:

This article walks through how to customize your returns experience to match your return policies using the Warranty settings in ReturnLogic. You can find that page here in your settings.

Warranty Product Scenarios

You can offer multiple options for both In Stock and Out of Stock products

  • In Stock

    • Exact Replacement of Product - classic warranty, the shopper will receive the same item they are returning

    • Full Catalog Replacement - shoppers can go through your product catalog and choose a new item, similar to an exchange

  • Out of Stock

    • Oversell - shopper will receive the same item they are returning

    • Contact Customer Service - shopper will receive a notification to contact customer service about their return; they will not be able to finish the return

    • Full Catalog Replacement - shoppers can go through your product catalog and choose a new item, similar to an exchange

Customer Support Information

This information will be displayed when "Contact Customer Service" is reached. It can be edited under the Customize page in settings, on the Page: Warranty Page.

Warranty Default Surcharge

Set an automatic charge to be added to all warranties, separate from any shipping rules/types that may be applied.

Warranty Product Exclusions

  • Exclude products from the Full Catalog Replacement catalog using a comma separated list of tags (eg. Excluded, Final Sale) or by SKU (use * for wildcard matching).

Inventory Threshold

  • The threshold for which products can be selected based on inventory. Products at or below this threshold will not be able to be selected for exchanges and warranties by customers. The number -1 can be used to allow overselling.
