Overview:

Do you sell on Amazon and other big box retailers? Great news! Now shoppers can submit a warranty return for an order purchased outside of your ecommerce platform. Here's how it works:

How Shoppers can Create a Third Party Warranty Return:

1. Select the "Did you purchase from a retail partner?" button at the bottom of the return center homepage.

Pro Tip: Change "retail partner" to all the marketplaces & merchants your product can be purchased on. (I.e. "Did you purchase from Amazon or Best Buy?")

2. Fill out the purchase and contact information. If required, upload an image of the receipt of purchase.

Pro Tip: Set Pre-Defined Purchase Locations for Third Party Warranties.

To ensure the Purchase Location data is accurate, provide your shoppers with a pre-defined list of purchase locations to choose from when submitting their third party warranty claim.

How to Configure These Settings:

  1. Go to your third party warranty settings under originate settings.

  2. After enabling Third Party Warranties, select "Add Purchase Location" at the bottom of the page.

3. Fill out the Shipping information.

4. Select product(s) to be returned, and submit the claim.

Once the Third Party Warranty Return has been created, your Customer Service Team can now process the warranty inside ReturnLogic like any other warranty return.

Note: The shipping options that you can provide your Third Party Warranty shoppers are Free Shipping (a label is provided to the shopper), Customer Shipping (shopper purchases their own label), or No Shipping.

How to Configure These Settings:

Go to your third party warranty settings under originate settings

  1. Third Party Warranty Enabled - Select "Yes" if you want this feature enabled or "No" if you want this feature disabled.

  2. Third Party Warranty Authorization - Select "Manual" to let your Customer Service Team review requests before authorizing or "Automatic" to let requests be authorized upon creation.

  3. Product Image Collection - Choose to require, make it optional, or not allow shoppers to upload an image of their purchased product.

  4. Receipt Image Collection - Choose to require, make it optional, or not allow shoppers to upload an image of the receipt from their original purchase.

Note: All Third Party Warranty pages can be customized by going to Settings> Returns Originate> Customize.
