Your warehouse location is where you receive packages back from customers who are making returns. This article will go over how to update your warehouse location.
Notes:
If you would like your changes to go live immediately, you will need to publish your changes in settings. Saving your new warehouse address as a draft will not make your changes live.
If you would like to see a FAQ about the implications of changing your warehouse location, check out the Changing warehouse Locations and the Shipping Items Report article.
How to change your warehouse location:
Go to Settings
Go to Returns-Originate on the left-hand sidebar and click to expand the menu
Go to Shipping
Find the Shipping Address section at the top of the page and edit by clicking on the blue pencil icon on the right
Complete the form that pops up and verify the location is correct. Name/Recipient, Company and Phone Number are all required fields in addition to the address itself.
Click on the update button at the bottom below Postal Code field.
Review the change on the Shipping page at the top to confirm it has been saved.
Make sure to publish the settings by clicking on the publish button at the top right-hand side of the page to make the new address official. When the change is published, you will see a green checkmark appear at the top with the words Status: Published. If you do not publish this setting, the new labels being generated will not reflect the new address.
Once the change has been made and published successfully, the shipping address on the labels will reflect the new warehouse location for all RMAs created after the publish date.
How does this impact the approved RMAs that I haven't received back yet?
Any shipping labels that have already been sent to customers will reflect the address that was in the settings at the time the shipping label was generated. This means any already approved returns will still have labels associated with the previous shipping address. Be aware that these customers will send the remaining packages to the previous address.
Please note that you can reference the shipping address for any RMA by going to the shipping section on the RMA page. You can also refer to the actual shipping label for the shipping address.
How can I change the location of my International Warehouse?
The process for updating your international warehouse location is similar but the changes are made under the International Shipping Address section of the Shipping page. This can be found directly under the Shipping Address section. Be sure to save and publish these settings as well.
