This article will discuss how to use the Bonus Credit and De-emphasize Refunds features. Bonus Credit can stand on it's own to incentivize your shoppers to choose an exchange or store credit over a refund, or work together with our suite of products including De-emphasize refunds display, and shipping options to allow free shipping on exchanges and store credit, but not refunds. This feature is available to all ReturnLogic merchants.

How to enable Bonus Credit

  • Navigate to Settings > Return-Originate > Bonus Credit in the control panel to view.

  • Enable Bonus Credit on Full Catalog Exchanges, Store Credit or both.

  • You can either enable a Flat Rate Bonus Credit, which can be set as a fixed, flat-rate dollar amount, or you can enable Product Price Range, which allows you to set a fixed-rate dollar amount based on the products that fall within dictated price ranges.

  • Select Save Draft.

  • Publish Settings.

Notes:

  • If the Bonus Credit is not used on exchanges, it is lost.

  • If you do not want to use a Bonus Credit, do not enable Exchange Incentives.

  • If you are using product price ranges, Bonus Credit will be applied once per item vs. once per order with flat-rate Bonus Credit.

  • This will impact the returns workflow by introducing full catalog exchange Incentive touchpoints throughout the Return Center.

Bonus Credit Report

The Bonus Credit report can be accessed through the reports tab. This report provides a comprehensive breakdown of various elements, including retained revenue amounts and ratios comparing exchanges and store credit to refunds.

How to de-emphasize Refunds

  • Navigate to Settings > Return-Originate > Return Types > Refunds actions in the control panel to view.

  • Under Display settings, activate De-emphasize Refunds.

  • Save.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use both a flat-rate Bonus Credit and Dynamic Bonus Credit? At this point in time, you can only choose between a flat-rate credit across all of your products, or product price ranges to group your bonus credits by product prices.
