Article Overview:

How Multi-Warehouse Works

Routing by Cost

ReturnLogic can support up to 10 different warehouses. When a shopper submits a return, ReturnLogic will route the return based on the cost of the label. ReturnLogic will always choose the cheapest label (Example 1) unless the labels are the same, in which case, we will select the warehouse listed highest in your list (Example 2).

Let's run through a few examples:

Example 1: Different Label Costs

A customer lives in Chicago, IL. You have a warehouse in Cincinnati, OH ($5 label) and a warehouse in Seattle, WA ($10 label). When the customer submits a return request through the Returns Portal, ReturnLogic will automatically route the return to the Cincinnati-based warehouse because it has the cheapest label.

Example 2: Equal Label Costs

A customer lives in Chicago, IL. You have a warehouse in Cincinnati, OH ($5 label) and in Kellogg, IA ($5 label). Kellogg, IA is listed above Cincinnati, OH in your warehouse list in ReturnLogic's settings. When Shopper Susie submits a return request through the Returns Portal, ReturnLogic will automatically route the return to the Kellogg-based warehouse because even though the cost to ship to Cincinnati and Kellogg is equal, the Kellogg warehouse is listed first in your settings warehouse list.
