Admins can delete a question from a form at any time, even after your event is live. Deleting a question also deletes its answers in every existing submission, so if real submitters have already started, hiding the question is usually the safer choice.
Should I delete or hide?
Only test submissions so far: delete. Your event may be set to live so you can test the full submitter experience, but if every submission is test data, there's nothing to protect.
Real submitters have started or submitted: hide instead. A Visibility Condition set to Always False removes the question for new submitters and keeps the answers already given. You can still delete, but those answers are deleted with it.
Before you start
You can't restore a deleted question yourself. If you delete one by mistake, the Reviewr team can restore it, along with its answers, on request.
Delete a question
(1) Open the form you want to change in the Form Editor.
(2) Hover over the question and click the red trash-can icon in the toolbar on its right, next to the pencil icon.
(3) In the Delete window, click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep the question. The window reads: "Are you sure you wish to delete this item? If this program has any submissions, this action will delete any existing data associated with this item within all submissions."
The question disappears from the form, and submitters no longer see it.
Hide a question instead
Click the pencil icon next to the question.
Select the Visibility tab.
Under Visibility Conditions, choose Always False.
If the question is required, untick Required before hiding it. A hidden question no longer displays to submitters, keeps all existing answers, and can be shown again in a future cycle.
If that didn't work
I deleted a question by mistake
Admins can't restore deleted questions. Contact the Reviewr team through the in-app chat, tell them the form and the question you deleted, and they'll restore it for you, along with its answers.
