Recall:
Recalls are a great way to remind patients they are due for their Yearly Eye Exam by sending a message based on the Recall date set in your EHR/PMS! Once it reaches the Recall Date set within their Patient File/Chart, Aloha will automatically send out a text and email reminding them to schedule their next Eye Exam appointment.
Reactivations:
While Recalls and Reactivations can seem similar, a Reactivation campaign sends specific messages to patients based on how long they have been inactive. We read inactive patients in Aloha by verifying their last attended appointment date and if no future appointments have been scheduled for the patient, Aloha sends a message/email.

When to use Recalls over Reactivations:
If you utilize the Recall section for patients within your EHR, you will want to set up a Recall Campaign as this is sending directly off the set dates that you are already placing inside of their patient chart!
Reactivations will be a great tool if you do not add a Recall date within your system as we will be able to read their last attended appointment and send a reminder based on future appointments being scheduled.
