How Many Reviews Should I Expect?

The industry average conversion rate is 5% for every 100 Feedback Requests Sent:

100 Feedback Requests Sent = 20-30 Feedback Received = 5-6 New Online Reviews

This is a natural response rate, which will build your online reviews organically over time. An important facet of review generation as an excessive rate can appear disingenuous and inorganic, sometimes resulting in those reviews being flagged and removed by the review site. For this very reason, you should never incentivize your patients to leave reviews for a raffle or prize. Big no-no! ‎👎‎👎

5 Tips to Help You Generate Even MORE Online Reviews:

1. Set Expectations: Second to providing a quality patient experience, communication is key to increasing your reviews. When your patients check out, notify them of the coming text and that you care about receiving their feedback. This will increase engagement and boost your reviews.”

Example: “John, we may send you a text after your appointment asking for your feedback. We care about your experience and want to ensure we’re providing 5-star service to you.”

2. Gamify your review process. Your team is a huge part of your review process. Turn it into a game by incentivizing your team to provide the best quality patient experience possible. If the team gets 10 new reviews on Google in 1 month, then celebrate and throw them a party! (Pizza anyone? 🍕)

3. Showcase your Reviews. Have a monthly newsletter or a TV in your office? Feature your newest reviews for everyone to see! You’ll be surprised how this “spotlight opportunity” will greatly impact engagement and lead to improved review results.

4. Customize Your Review Request Template: Our default templates have been professionally designed and tested for the best results. Though we often do not recommend changing them, sometimes customizing how your unique office asks for the review can lead to greater results.

Example: We stopped using the word "awesome" in our default Review Requests as a case study showed improved results, and after system-wide implementation, it bumped numbers across the board.

5. Change Your Review Request Theme: The Feedback Theme is the default for Review Requests. Patients are asked for feedback in the form of a 1-5 rating and receive a follow-up message based on their response. Positive feedback receives a link to conveniently leave their review online. Negative feedback is connected to your office, allowing the patient to address their concerns directly rather than venting online, and your team the opportunity to course-correct the negative experience and turn it into a 5-star review. However, if your patients are leaving 5-star feedback, but not sharing their review online, you may want to consider changing your Theme to our Direct to Google option. It will provide EVERY patient, regardless of their experience, the link to conveniently share their review online.
