There is nothing more rewarding than helping patients get back on track to leading healthier lives. That's why we LOVE Careplans! ❤️
In Clerk, there are two ways to assign Careplans:
On an Invoice for Pre-Paid Careplans
Through the Patient Profile for Pay As You Go Careplans
How to Assign a Pre-Paid Careplan
To assign a Pre-Paid Careplan, find the Product/Service you created that is the overall price for the Careplan while on the Check Out screen, and add this charge to the Invoice. If added correctly, the name of the Careplan and the Services should show in the patient's Contact Card, as seen below:
This will allow the patient to pay for their entire Careplan upfront.
✨PSST!✨ You will need to make sure the Careplan you created is associated to the Service you are charging the patient for. You can CLICK HERE for a quick refresh on how to do this!
How to Assign a Pay As You Go Careplan
If you would like to set up a Pay As You Go Careplan for a patient, head over to the Patient Profile > Careplans > and select Add a patient careplan.
From there, you will select the desired Careplan and the Start Date (the End Date should default to the last day of the Effective Period established when creating the Careplan):
✨Note:✨ This will bypass creating an Invoice for the patient and will not log the overall price of the Careplan. Once the Pay As You Go Careplan is assigned, you will add the individual Services included in that Careplan to Invoices going forward. This is also how you would assign a Careplan if you are new to Clerk and are needing to update Patient Profiles to match what you have in your prior EHR regardless of the type of Careplan they are on.
