Firstly, we’d like to focus on the correct way to delete a page. Before deleting a page, please make sure to check where the page is being used or linked as an existing page link. If the page is linked somewhere else (used as an existing page link), the server may continue to keep it active even after it’s deleted from its original location. Remove or delete those links first(Where it is linked as an existing page), and then delete the page from its original location(from where the page was created). If you follow this process, the page will be removed from both the live and the edit site. Please read the following details.
1.To check where a page is linked, go to Admin Tools and click on "What links here?"
2. First , you have to delete the link from pages where it is in use as existing page link.
If you look at the screenshot below, you’ll notice that the 2nd to 5th links (highlighted in orange) show where this page is linked as an existing page. You’ll need to remove those links from each of those pages first. The screenshot also indicates how the link was added, either in the top navigation or the left navigation.
Once you’ve removed the links from those locations, you can then delete the page from the menu where it was originally created. The link marked in red (the first one) shows the original menu location.
This is the usual process to permanently delete a page.
Secondly, if no links appear under “What links here?” or the page still available after following the above procedure, you may need to delete the page from the Report section in the Admin Center. Also, if you rename a page URL, the old URL might still exist on the server and must be deleted manually through the Report section. You must need to delete that old url as well.
Here’s a helpful resource that explains how to delete outdated files/pages from your website if the page still available after following the above procedure:
1. Click on "Admin Panel" button from any page
2. Click on Permissions
3. Click on Add User
4. Click on Reports
5. Click on View
6. Click on List Files located in top-right corner
7. Expand the parent folder and find the page or documents
Please make sure you are following the right path(URL) in order to delete the right page/document, for example, if the link is www.abc.com/delete_me/index.php . You have to expand the delete_me folder by clicking the arrow button in the left
8. Select the page/file
