How to Create a Playbook?

This step-by-step guide is crafted to assist you in creating and activating a Playbook tailored to a specific channel and KPI.

You’ll also learn how to add multiple recommendations to your Playbook.

Navigating to Playbook Creation

  • Open the Playbook module found in the platform's navigation bar.


  • Click on 'Create Playbook' located at the left corner of the screen to initiate a new Playbook.

Part 1: Creating the Playbook – Entering Playbook Details

  • Playbook Name: Give your Playbook a unique name. Duplicate names are not allowed.


  • Playbook Description: Write a brief description to explain the Playbook’s purpose.


  • Select Channel: Choose the channel for which you’re creating the Playbook.


  • Select KPI: Pick the relevant Key Performance Indicator (KPI) from the dropdown list.


  • Trend Setting: Define the trend related to the KPI, like setting a positive trend for reducing a channel’s cost.


  • Click 'Next' to proceed to add recommendations.

Part 2: Creating Playbook – Adding Recommendations

  • Adding Recommendations Immediately:

    • Recommendation Name: Each recommendation needs a distinct name.

    • Description: Provide a summary and rationale. You can format text and include images.

    • Viewing New Recommendations: Once created, they appear on the Recommendations page and can be edited anytime.

  • Adding Multiple Recommendations: Click 'Add Recommendations' to include several recommendations.

  • Deleting a Recommendation: Use the delete icon for removal and confirm in the pop-up.

Part 3: Option to Add Recommendations Later

  • Select 'Add Later' if you prefer to add recommendations at another time, creating a Playbook without immediate recommendations.

  • To add them later, simply edit the Playbook and follow the above steps.

Part 4: Reviewing and Updating

  • Use the 'Back' button for any modifications to the Playbook details.

  • After adding or updating recommendations, the Playbook will show the updated status on the listing page.

With these steps, you can efficiently create and activate a Playbook specific to your channel and KPI, complete with tailored recommendations. This guide ensures a smooth and straightforward process for strategic Playbook management.

Reviewing and Updating:

  • Use the 'Back' button to return to the Playbook details page for any modifications.

  • Once recommendations are added or updated, the Playbook will display the chosen status on the listing page.
